- Non-U.S. citizen
- Minimum 18 years old
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Not restricted from traveling to the U.S.
- Minimum of 3.5 overall college GPA with following conditions:
- Currently enrolled full-time and pursuing a Ph.D., Master’s Degree, or in their junior or senior year at a government-recognized degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the U.S., OR
- Graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to the start of the ICD program

- Internship must be in your field of study
- Should be able to work a minimum of 3 weeks up to a maximum of 12 months.
Multiple J-1 internships can be completed if all requirements continue to be met and their collective duration does not exceed 12 months, OR 90 days have elapsed between programs.
